Indiana Limestone

80”x67”x5” (Relief)

Commissioned - Public Art

Brush Strokes was conceived from an interior wall detail of the historic Art Deco Silver Theatre.  This piece is reminiscent of many 18th-Century French carvings, with its raised fleur-de-lis style cradling the hand-carved lettering.  Rendered in Indiana Limestone, the carving serves as a monument to the revitalization of Downtown Silver Spring, MD, commissioned by the Montgomery County, MD, Government.
